(Air Quality returns to Moderate levels in Calexico)….Levels of PM 2.5 were had reached Unhealthy levels Wednesday and Thursday morning. Air Pollution Control District has said the Particulate Matter is recorded at high levels in Calexico because of the Border and Border Traffic. By 7:00 Thursday morning the Air Quality monitor at Ethel in Calexico was reporting an Air Quality Index of 81, considered Moderate Air Quality. Levels of the Finite Particulate Matter had reached in the 150’s, considered Unhealthy Air Quality. The 24-hour average for PM 2.5 was around 103. The APCD says those sensitive to air quality should stay in doors until levels come back down to Moderate to Good levels. |
