(Two vehicles stolen in Brawley)….Police Sergeant Perry Monita says the thefts were at different locations.

He said it is not known if they were connected. The first incident over-night occurred in the 1000 block of “E” Street. Monita said the perpetrators entered the home as the residents slept. They took a cell phone, jewelry and the keys to the family vehicle. The suspects stole the victim in their get-a-way. The Sergeant says later in the 300 block of Jones, somebody found a vehicle un-locked. They entered the vehicle and found to keys to another vehicle. They stole the second vehicle. Monita said resident need to be sure their homes and vehicles are locked when they go to bed at night. If residents want to take advantage of the nice weather at night and leave the front door open, they should install a security screen door. He said windows should only be able to opened partially, and not enough for anyone to crawl through.
