Brawley man admits taking part in his wife's murder

(A Brawley man is in custody after he allegedly murdered his wife)….Police found the body of 39 year old Mari Cruz Ledon in her home in the 600 block of North Third Street. The discovery was made at close to 11:30 Saturday night. The woman apparently had been stabbed several times. Her husband, 40-year-old Horacio Ledon, was nowhere to be found, until early in the morning Sunday. At around 2:30 Sunday morning the husband flagged down a Border Patrol vehicle at Bowker Road near Interstate 8. The man reportedly admitted to taking park in his wife’s murder. He was turned over to the County Sheriff’s department, and booked into County Jail. Police have not said what part of the stabbing he took part in, or if others were involved in the murder. The investigation is continuing.
