Brawley City Council meets Tuesday night

(The Brawley City Council will discuss Wastewater Rates)….The Brawley Council convenes at 7:00 pm Tuesday. On the agenda is discussion surrounding the cities Wastewater Rates and Proposition 218 notices. They are expected to schedule a public hearing on the issue. The Council will also consider a recommendation to delay the proposed ballot measure for public safety. A past measure was rejected by the voters in the City. The Council wants to adopt a measure that would help pay for salary increases and possibly hire new public safety workers such as fire fighters and police officers. The Council will also discuss copper theft prevention with a representative from the Imperial Irrigation District.
