Border Patrol Snags $1.2Million Worth of Cocaine PDF Print E-mail

U.S. Border Patrol Agents working the Highway 86 checkpoint on Independence Day found 37.8 pounds of cocaine in a vehicle. According to the Border Patrol ,on the morning of July 4, 2007 a vehicle approached the checkpoint on Highway 86. In the process of interviewing the driver, the agent became suspicious of the drivers nervous behavior and a canine unit alerted to the inside of the vehicle. That vehicle was sent to secondary inspection where agents discovered 15 packages of cocaine weighing 37.8 pounds and valued at more that $1,200,000. The driver, vehicle and drugs were turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency
