(Memorial Day comes early for Border Patrol)…El Centro Sector Border Patrol held a ceremony Thursday to recognize fallen Agents.

The ceremony at the Aten Road headquarters did not recognize any individual agent, but recognized all 11 who have lost their lives in this region. The Yuma Sector Border Patrol office sent a singer for the ceremony. The San Diego Sector provided a chaplain, and the Tucson Sector sent a Bagpiper and a Bugler to the event. El Centro Agent Victor Castruita said the planned fly-over by Customs and Border Protection aircraft had to be canceled because of the windy weather.
