(Border Patrol catches another convicted sex offender)…Officials say the arrest was made at around 8:25 Tuesday evening.

The convicted offender was found about a half mile west of Calexico. Agents from the El Centro Station arrested the individual after he illegally entered the United States by climbing over the border fence. Record checks revealed the subject was convicted November 4, 2005 for Sex with a Minor in Victorville, California. He had been deported from the U.S. on May 20, 2008. The Border Patrol says the unidentified man is being held at the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service Processing Center for re-entry after deportation, pending removal from the United States. Since May 1 of this year, the El Centro Sector has apprehended 23 convicted sex offenders within its area of operation.
