(Border Patrol Agents arrest two registered sex offenders)….The agents found the two near the Andrade Port of Entry this week. They admitted to the agents that they had not crossed the border through the Port in order to avoid inspection. The two were identified as Maria Angelique Balvastro and Daniel Roy Martinez. Both claimed U.S. Citizenship. Record checks revealed the two were registered sex offenders with active warrants for their arrest. Balvastro has a warrant out of Maricopa County stemming from a probation violation. Martinez’s warrant is also from a parole violation out of Yuma County. The Border Patrol turned both over to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department.
