U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a convicted sex offender near Calexico

Tuesday evening.

The man was arrested after entering the United States illegally by climbing

over a fence about 6 miles west of Calexico, California shortly before

midnight. A records check revealed that the man had been arrested for

various crimes in California and Nevada. The subject had also been

convicted of soliciting lewd acts in Santa Barbara County and deported

from this country in 2003. He is currently being held in Imperial County Jail

for an outstanding warrant he has for failure to register as a sex offender.
