(Two bodies found over the weekend)….One of the bodies found had to be carried out of a remote valley

. Deputy Coroner Sergeant Charles Lucas says the family of 30-year-old Martin Zamora Torres had reported him missing. They said he was supposed to have crossed the border in June. He never called them and they became worried. Lucas said the body was located deep in the Davies Valley over the weekend. With the assistance of the U.S. Border Patrol, the Sergeant hiked into the area, and they carried the body out. Lucas said it appears the man had been dead about a month. Also over the weekend, a 53-year-old La Mesa man was found dead. The body of Herbert Potter was found in a motel room in Brawley. Potter was in the County working construction at the time of his death. Lucas said autopsies on both men would be conducted Tuesday to try to determine the exact causes of death.
