(Weekend fatality identified)….The 65-year-old man was killed in an accident on westbound Interstate 8, near Ogilby Road.

The vehicle was being driven by 40 year old Juan Aguirre Alvarez. There were three passengers. The California Highway Patrol says the vehicle was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed. The Highway Patrol says the roadway was wet from the thunderstorms and this may have attributed to the driver losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled, ejecting one of the three passengers. He was identified as 65-year-old Enrique Valdez Salcedo from Bloomington, California. He suffered fatal injuries. The C H P says the man was not wearing his seatbelt.
