(Border Patrol finds 18th sex offender)….Since May 1 of this year, Border Patrol agents have caught 18 sex offenders trying to re-enter the Country. The latest was found this week, about 18 miles east of Calexico. The Agents from the Calexico Station arrested the individual after he and another illegal immigrant entered the United States by walking across a remote part of the open Desert. A record check revealed the subject had been arrested in 1986 out of Yuba City, California for unlawful intercourse with a minor. The subject was later convicted of rape. He had been deported from the United States in 2002. The subject, who has not been identified, was taken to Imperial County Jail pending charges of re-entry after deportation. |
