Another Sex Offender Grabbed By Border Patrol

Calexico, Ca. - United States Border Patrol Agents arrested a man convicted of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. The arrest occurred Wednesday morning at about 10:00 when the man was observed entering the United States illegally about 1/2 mile west of Calexico. Record checks revealed the man had been convicted of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. He also has convictions for inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant as well as theft. He had been deported from the United States. He is currently being held in the Imperial County Jail pending charges of re-entry after deportation as an aggravated felon. That makes 13 convicted sex offenders nabbed by the El Centro Sector Border Patrol since May 1, 2008.
