(Investigators try to identify body found in a canal)….An Irrigator reportedly found the body floating in the Wisteria canal off Clarke Road and Highway 98.

Deputy Coroner Sergeant Charles Lucas said it appeared the man had been dead about five days before the body was discovered Wednesday. Lucas said a preliminary determination is that the man drowned, but an autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the exact cause. The Sergeant said the man is described as a Hispanic male, between 25 years of age to possibly in his 30’s. Lucas said there was no identification found on or near the body. Investigators have no idea where the man came from. Fingerprint analysis and other tests will be conducted to try to determine who the man was. As for now, he is being listed as another John Doe.
