Amber Alert suspect goes the other way

(Amber Alert Saturday ends safely)….Riverside County early Saturday issued the Amber Alert after a man shot the mother of his 5-year-old daughter, and then took the child. The report indicated Jose De Jesus Cardona Alcala was headed to Mexico with the child. It turns out 37 year old Alcala dropped the child off with relatives near Lancaster. Saturday afternoon Alcala was spotted in Kern County, where he was arrested. His bail was set at $1 million. At last report, the mother of the child, 43-year-old Marta Ochoa, was in a medically induced coma following surgery Saturday to repair damage from a gunshot wound to the torso.
