(Members want a full board to decide contract issue)…The Calexico Unified School District Board of Directors was scheduled to discuss and possibly award a contract to David Alvarez Wednesday night. Only three Board members attended the meeting. They agreed they would prefer the full Board discuss the contract offer. Board President Eduardo Rivera and Board Member Salvador Pacheco did not attend. The contract offers Alvarez $25,000 to basically assist Superintendent David Groesbeck to transition into his new position and tie-up projects he was not able to complete. Alvarez retired as Superintendent of the Calexico School District on June 30. |
