(Driver of ill-fated Suburban identified)….The County Coroners office says the driver was 18-year-old Irvis Jael Gonzalez from Mexicali.

Gonzalez suffered fatal injuries after he was ejected from the Suburban as it over-turned Sunday. The 18 year old is suspected of smuggling over 20 illegal migrants in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The California Highway Patrol says a tire apparently blew out on the vehicle at the intersection of Highway 78 and Mid Well Road, near Palo Verde. Three other people were injured in the incident, two seriously. The Border Patrol says three others were taken into custody. The rest of the over 20 passengers scattered into the desert before the Border Patrol agents arrived on the scene.
