Water deliveries scheduled for Tuesday will be affected after a temporary wall  holding back water in the All-American Canal lining project collapsed Monday afternoon. The collapse of a tempoary wall flooded the new channel of the canal before construction crews were ready. Imperial Irrigation District spokesperson Kevin Kelly told KXO News that the collapse was not connected to the recent earthquake activity in the Imperial Valley. He added that the breech will have to be repaired and the water redirected to the old channel. Kelly said that Tuesdays sheduled  agricultural water deliveries would be affected. A section of the All-American Canal in eastern Imperial County is being concrete lined to prevent seepage with the conserved water being sold. Kiewit Pacific and Ames-Kauffman are the contractors.
