A violent week at State Prison

(A Violent week at Centinela State Prison)….Officials say three separate incidents of violence were reported last week at the Prison outside Seeley. In the first incident Wednesday, a prisoner was stabbed four or five times by two other inmates. On Thursday, an inmate was flown to a San Diego area hospital after he apparently tried to take his own life. On Friday the throat of an inmate was slashed. The attack on the inmate was discovered at around 1:00 Friday afternoon in the prison’s C facility, where the most violent inmates are housed. The inmate survived the attack, but his condition has not been released. None of the victim’s identity has been released.
