(Extremely drunk driver crashes in Brawley)….Sergeant Perry Monita says the incident occurred at around 12:40 Wednesday morning. The Sergeant says 43-year-old Martin Saldana Vasquez was driving south on Highway 111 when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. At Adler, the vehicle veered off the roadway, ran into a power pole and then crashed into a fence. Police arrested the driver and found he had an alcohol level in his blood 4 times the legal limit. Monita said he had never seen anyone operate a vehicle with that much alcohol in their system. Saldana Vasquez was taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital to be treated for the injuries he sustained in the incident.
