(A 27 year old Arizona woman suffers fatal injuries in an accident on Interstate 8)….The California Highway Patrol says the incident occurred at around 6:45 Thursday night. A vehicle driven by 23 year old Jessica Margagliotti of Maricopa, Arizona was heading East on the Interstate. Just East of Imperial Highway the tread reportedly separated from the right rear tire. The Highway Patrol says the driver was not able to maintain control of the vehicle, and it traveled left across the number 1 lane and skidded into the center dirt median, where it overturned. The C H P says as the vehicle overturned, the right rear passenger was ejected. She was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center, but was pronounced dead about an hour later. The woman was identified as Elizabeth Ludwig from Tempe, Arizona. The driver and two other passengers suffered what were described as minor injuries. All three were treated at Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley.
