(Supervisors approve amendment to Cooperative agreement)…The agreement is with Cal Trans.

Public Works Director William Brunet told the Board of Supervisor Tuesday the amendment was needed because the cooperative agreement was running out. Brunet said the agreement was part of the tri-party consortium to develop the infrastructure to the Imperial Valley Mall. One of the projects left under the cooperative agreement is to install traffic signals at the intersection of Dogwood Road and Highway 86. Another is to widen some more roadways. Brunet said the amendment extends the cooperative agreement until December 31, 2013. He said the work left in the agreement should begin before the new deadline. The amendment was approved unanimously by the Board of Supervisors.
