(It is National Police Week)…It started Sunday and will continue through Saturday.
In honor of the special week, US Attorney Robert Brewer is recognizing the service and sacrifice of federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement in San Diego and Imperial Counties. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy issued the first proclamation for Peace Officers Memorial Day and National Police Week, to remember and honor law enforcement officers for their service and sacrifices. National Peace Officers Memorial Day will be May 15th.
