The Imperial County Public Health Department has released updated information on the COVD-19 pandemic.
The Friday evening report shows that there was one more death attributed to the Coronavirus which brings the total to 12 for the county. There were three deaths attributed to the virus the week. As of Friday evening there are 512 total positive cases. That's an increase 144 for the week. Active cases increased from 218 on Monday morning to 262 by Friday evening and the number of patients that have recovered increased by 97 , from 141 Monday morning to 238 by Friday evening. Testing has increased significantly with the County Health Department lab and off-site testing at the fairgrounds began. Results from slightly more than 1,000 tests were reported over the last 5 days. From 2,350 as of Monday morning to 3,363 by Friday evening.
