El Centro Police arrested two men for an attempted robbery.
According to Commander Aaron Reel of the El Centro Police Department , shortly after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening , officers were dispatched to the area of 8th and Euclid following a report of an attempted robbery. Two suspects attempted to rob an individual who was walking in the area. The suspects were armed with a firearm and left the scene emptyhanded in a metallic blue Scion. Less than 30 minutes later , an El Centro Police officer stopped the car in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Two men , Christian Perez and Anthony Bojorquez , both 18 and both from El Centro , were arrested. They were later booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of attempted robbery and making threats.
