The City of Brawley is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for deliberately setting recent structure fires in the city.

Since October of 2012 , there have been five structure fires in the City of Brawley. Two of those fires resulted in major structural damage while three others resulted in minor to moderate structural damage to involved buildings. Additionaly , since the first of this year , the Brawley Fire Department has responded to three other suspicious fires in the downtown area. . These three fires were contained at their point of origin and surrounding buildings were not damaged. Brawley Police and Fire Department personnel are investigating the blazes and ask for the publics help in putting an end to this threat to property and lives.
