(Imperial Woman suffers fatal injuries)…The woman was identified by the County Coroners Office as 24 year old Brytni Buckley.

Initial reports are that the woman’s pick-up collided with a tractor-trailer rig at around 3:25 Saturday morning. The California Highway Patrol says the woman was driving a 2010 Nissan Titan South on Highway 111, south of Wildcat Lane near Brawley. The vehicle was traveling at an undetermined rate of speed. The 24 year old reportedly veered the pick-up into the path of the semi, being driven by 44 year old Sandra Rascon Peralta of Sacramento. The left side of the Nissan impacted the left side of the semi, inflicting fatal injuries to the Imperial woman. The impact ruptured the fuel tank on the semi, spilling diesel fuel onto #2 lane of the Highway. The Highway Patrol says both Southbound lanes were closed for 4 hours while the fuel spill was clean. The CHP says they are continuing to investigate the collision.
