(The one that did not get away)…Over the years there have been many reports of copper theft.
There has not been that many reports of arrests for copper theft. Late last week there was an arrest. The County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting the theft of copper wire at the Mesquite Lake Energy Park on Highway 111. Deputies immediately responded and enlisted the help of the Imperial Police Department. The suspect vehicle was spotted and stopped near Clark and Dogwood Roads. Two suspects were arrested, and all the stolen material was returned to Mesquite Lake.
