The Imperial County Elections Department has issued another update on the March 3 Presidential Primary Election.

The race for Imperial Irrigation District Division 2 is still the only race that is still in contention. The separation between incumbent Bruce Kuhn and challenger Ryan Childers for second place and a spot on the November ballot has changed very little. As of Thursday afternoon Childers still leads Kuhn. Childers has 1,355 votes to Kuhn's 1,310. That's 26.43% for Childers and 25.55% for Kuhn. Hamby continues to hold the top spot in the race with 2,148 votes for 41.9%. There are still 442 ballots uncounted. 237 Provisional Ballots and 205 others under further review.
