(State Board appoints Imperial County Resident)….The appointment was announced this month.
The California State Board of Education appointed Keila Rodriguez to the Advisory Commission on Special Education. The commission is an advisory board that provides recommendations and advice to the state Board of Education, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Legislature, and the Governor in new or continuing areas of research program development and evaluation in California Special Education. Rodriguez is the first Imperial County resident to be appointed to the commission. She is currently an Administrator at an Alternative Education site in El Centro.
