The latest Imperial County COVID-19 numbers have been released.
As of Thursday evening the Imperial County Public Health Department says there are 51 active cases of the virus in the county. So far there have been 79 positive cases with 25 said to have recovered. Three deaths have been reported, 667 individuals have been tested for the virus. Of the positive cases , 6 are under the age of 17 , 41 between 18 and 49 years old , 18 between 50 and 64 years and 14 individuals 65+.
Breaking the numbers down by zip code , 20 patients are from the Calexico area ; 15 from the Brawley area ; 13 from the Imperia areal ; 12 from El Centro; 7 from Heber; 10 from the Salton Sea area; 2 from the Holtville area and 1 each from Westmorland and Winterhaven. Of those testing positive , 54.43% are male and 45.57% female.
