(It was a tense situation)…But, all’s well that ends well.

It happened Sunday. El Centro Police responded to the parking lot of a store at Aurora and Imperial Avenue. They had received the call at around 11:39 Sunday morning. There was a report of a woman, carrying large scissors, was chasing after someone. The woman refused officers commands to drop the scissors. She was tasered, but that apparently had little effect on the woman. Police detoured traffic around the area and the store was locked down, while officers tried to talk the woman into dropping the scissors. The woman was tasered a second time, again with no apparent effect. The stand-off lasted until around 1:15 in the afternoon. Police brought in a canine, who was able to subdue the woman.
