Cheetah Run Safari winner. KXO AM1230 Winner is Ruth Reyes of Brawley. Ruth and three guests will embark on their own safari at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. They will witness the fastest mammal and bird in the world as an African cheetah is released to run ( off-leash ) after a mechanical lure. Following the run, Ruth and her guests will meet the fastest bird in the world, the spectacular peregrine falcon. They will also meet with animal care staff to share a brief hsitory and facts about the African animals at the Wild Animal Park. A souvenir photo of the cheetah is also provided. The Cheetah Run Safari operates Saturdays and Sundays and reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Program capacity is limited. Contact the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park for reservations.
