CHP Arrests Three For Robbery

A California Highway Patrol Officer arrested two men and a women who attempted to rob a motorist at the westbound Interstate 8 rest stop near Seeley Thursday Thursday afternoon at about 5:00 P.M. a traveler stopped to use the facilities at the westbound Interstate 8 rest area near Seeley, California. Shortly after he walked in the restroom , two men walked in , blocked the entrance and demanded money. The man told the two robbers that he didn't have any money at the time at which time the robbers became agressive and threatened the man. Fearing for his well being , the man pushed through the two men and made it outside. As he ran towards his vehicle he told the two men that he was calling 9 1 1. A woman sitting in the drivers seat of a red Chevrolet Cobalt told the victim that they were not trying to rob him. The California Highway Patrol responded to the area and Officer Humbert Gonzales made a traffic stop on the red Cobalt just east of Ocotillo. The cars driver , 22-year olf Felicia Athina Amaro of Houston , Texas and two passengers , Eugene Soto , 23 , of Bayshore, New York and 23-year old Thomas Edward Parcell of Houston Texas , were arrested. They were booked into Imperial County Jail and all three face charges of conspiracy to commit robbery. A CHP Auto Theft  investigator assisted with the arrest.
