(Sex offender wants to move)….Richard Horne is apparently petitioning for the move.
The convicted sex offender was placed at the Dixieland area near Seeley a couple years ago. This was after a very controversial Court decision to return Horne to his last known address after being released from a mental hospital. A Fresno Court originally placed him near Holtville, but after that location was rejected, he was placed at his current residence near Seeley. Horne has reportedly purchased a house on Weaver Road south of Brawley. The Imperial County District Attorneys office says he used monies he had received in a settlement from a previous car accident. A hearing will be held July 10 in Fresno to determine if Horne will be allowed to move. The D.A.’s office says there does not appear to be anything disqualifying with the new residence. It is not near any schools or parks or any other location children are likely to congregate. Public comments on the petition will be presented at the hearing in Fresno. Deputy District Attorney Joe Beard said anyone wishing to comment could contact the District Attorneys office. |
