(El Centro Aquatic Center recognized)...The ceremony was Wednesday morning.

The City of El Centro was recognized through the California Parks and Recreation Society, for the Excellence in Design of the El Centro Aquatic Center. Rebecca Corfman, Aquatic center Supervisor, said the CPRS awards program is the highest recognition our City of El Centro can receive. The award recognizes excellence in design of completed aquatic, recreation and/or cultural facilities intended for public use, throughout the state of California. Community Services Director, Adriana Nava, attributed the Award of Excellence not only to the hard working design and engineering team, but also to the entire community who participated in the design of the El centro Aquatic Center and made it an award winning facility.
