(Border Patrol rescue)....It happened Tuesday morning.

The California Highway Patrol called the El Cntro Sector Border Patrol dispatch at just after 5:00 am. They said they had received a distress call from a man who had entered the US illegally. The man said he and his aunt were lost and his aunt had fallen. Border Patrol agents began a rescue operation, using only the GPS coordinates provided by the CHP. At around 6:45 Tuesday morning agents found the two in the mountainous desert near Ocotillo. The two were escorted to the Interstate. They say the two appeared to be in good health. Agents provided them with water. It was determined the two had entered the country illegally. They wer taken into custody and transported to the El Centro Station for processing.
