Local firefighters were busy Wednesday.

The El Centro Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 600 block of Hamilton Avenue at about 10:15 Wednesday morning. On arrival , firefighter issued a second alarm with a request for mutual aid. The City of Imperial Fire Department responded with an engine and fire personnel. The fire remains under investigation.

The Imperial County Fire Department responded to a trailer on fire in Salton City Wednesday evening. Personnel and equipment from Salton City , Westmorland and Calipatria responded to the blaze. No other information is available.
