The Imperial County Public Health Department updated their dashboard on COVID-19.

The Thursday numbers show that there are now 528 deaths attributed to the virus. That's a jump of 14 from the Wednesday numbers. According to the Health Department , this does not indicate that the 14 additional deaths occurred in the past 24 hours , the Health Department investigates the fatalities and than verifies if they are COVID-19 related. Once that happens they are added to the toll. It sometimes takes several days or even longer for the deaths to be added to the total. The number of active cases decreased slightly , from 989 to 950. The number of individuals hospitalized with the coronavirus dropped from 84 to 82 , of those . 44 are in ICU beds.
