(Meth seized)...It happened on Christmas Day.

Border Patrol agents were working the checkpoint on Highway 78 near Blythe. A Cadillac sedan drove up to the checkpoint. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and it was sent to the secondary inspection area. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 10 vacuum sealed packages, that contained a total of 25 pounds of methamphetamine, worth an estimated $62,000. Agents also found a 9 mm handgun that contained a loaded 15 round magazine, about 50 grams of marijuana and several pieces of drug paraphernalia. The three occupants in the vehicle, all US citizens from Oklahoma, were placed under arrest. Agents seized the drugs, firearm, paraphernalia and vehicle.
