(Border Patrol rescues 6 individuals)...It happened over the Labor Day Weekend.

One of those rescued was a 12 year old boy.. There were three separate rescues in the Yuha Desert and Jacumba Widerness Region. The first incident was Saturday afternoon. A distress call was recieved from a man who said he had a 12 year old boy with him and the boy had fainted. He said they had crossed into the United States illegally west of Calexico. It took BORSTAR agents, with air support from the California Highway Patrol just over an hour to l;ocate the two in the desert. The two were taken to a hospital for treatment. The 12 year old was then taken for processing, and was reunited with his mother, who had been arrested earlier in the day. The second incident occured Sunday evening. Calexico Police had recieved a 911 call from a group of 3 who had crossed the Border illegally west of Calexico. Border Patrol agents located that group in less than an hour. The final rescue occured in the Jacumba Wildrness near Ocotillo. The distress call was recieved at just after 10:00 that night. A single individual said he had started a fire to make it easier to find him. BORSTAR agents found the fire and the individual. All those rescued were processed and after it was determind they did not need medical attention, they were deported back to Mexico
