At just before 4:00 pm a Border Patrol agent and his K-9 conducted a vehicle stop on a man driving a Brown Toyota Tundra. The agent conducted an immigration interview and during the interview he conducted a canine sniff of the exterior of the vehicle. The canine alerted to the vehicle. The agent searched the vehicle and found two large gift-wrapped presents and a large tot containing a total of 119 cellophane wrapped packages. The driver and the packages were taken to the Calexico Border Patrol station for processing. All the packages tested positive for methamphetamine. The total weight of the narcotics was around 135 pounds, with an estimated value of $303,750. The driver, a 34 year old legal resident originally from Mexico, the narcotics and vehicle were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
