(Mardi Gras 2019 King and Queen)…They have been announced by the City

of El Centro. The Mardi Gras Royalty for the City in 2019 are Doctor Adolphe Edwatd and Betty Tucker. Mardi Gras King Dr. Adolphe Edward and Queen Betty Tucker will represent Pro Bono Publico and embody the commitment to serve the community of El Centro. Dr. Edward is the Chief Executive Officer for El Centro Regional Medical Center and is dedicated to the health and well being of the community of El Centro. He also participates in many local non-profits and boards and has been successful in engaging ECRMC and its staff into every facet of life in El Centro. Queen Betty Tucker is an El Centro Native with roots dating back more than 70 years. After retiring from a 33 year career with the State of California, giving back to the community has become her priority. She is an El Centro Library and Community Services Board member and a past president of the El Centro Kiwanis Club. She has served over 15 years as a Board member on the Blue Angels Golf Tournament Committee and is an honorary Blue Angel. Betty is also an El Centro Chamber of Commerce Ambassador.. The El Centro Mardi Gras festivities kick off January 17th with the King and Queen Coronation. The ECRMC Foundation Annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser Bal is February 22nd, and the annual Mardi Gras Parade and Street Festival is February 23rd.
