(Identification has been confirmed)…It is the news everybody knew, but did not want to hear.
The body discovered Sunday north of Imperial has been identified as that of 14-year-old David Yglesias the third. Deputy Coroner Steven Green said Thursday morning the identification was confirmed through dental x-rays. Green said the young teen died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. The autopsy this week determined the fatal shot was from a .22 caliber weapon. He said a .22 caliber rifle was found near the body. The 14 year old was last seen August 23rd at his home in Imperial. Family also reported a .22 caliber rifle was missing from the home. The Deputy Coroner said all remaining information surrounding the tragedy would be released by the Imperial Police Department, who are continuing to investigate.
