(County may soon have a new parking ordinance)…Public Works Director William Brunet says the new ordinance would have some teeth in it.
He said the new ordinance would out line how far off the roadway vehicles must be to park in the County. More importantly, the new ordinance gives a time limit, 72 hours, for vehicles to be parked along a county roadway, before it can be towed away. Brunet says that gives law enforcement the flexibility to site and order towed a vehicle abandoned along the roadway, or parked there for a long period of time. The Supervisors approved the first reading of the ordinance. It will become law following a second reading, probably at the next Board meeting.
