Thunder , lightening , rain , hail and high winds battered the Imperial Valley Monday night.
Brawley residents reported a number of trees blown over with damage to several residences. Scattered power outages also reported in the north end city as well as localized flooding. Meanwhile , in the south end of the Valley , Calexico , still reeling from the Saturday night storm that knocked down trees and caused power outages , got hit again. More trees and power lines were blown over as well as localized flooding. Officials in both Brawley and Calexico are still talleting up the damage.
The National Weather Service says that the chances for more thunderstorm activity will continue through tonight but we should see some improvement in the weather by tomorrow.
