An apparent home invasion in Imperial resulted in the death of the intruder.
According to a press release from the Imperial Police Department , at 10:30 p.m. Thursday officers responded to a residence in the northwest area of the city. The resident told police that he had shot an armed man attempting to break into his home. Officers located a deceased male , a minor , inside the house. Officers also recovered a knife from the scene. No other information has been released at this time. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
