(Wednesday it was the Little Chef’s)….They competed in the Cooking Contest.

The Little Chef’s are the elementary school age kids. The contests are part of the 73rd Annual Holtville Carrot Festival and Street Fair. There were 3 categories Wednesday evening. In the Dessert category; first place went to Stacey Williams with Easy and Delicious Carrot Cake. Second Place went to Dillon Anzures with Carrot Ice Cream Sandwiches. Elizabeth Schaffner picked up 3rd place with Carrot Cake Pops. In the Appetizer Category; Dillon Anzures was awarded first place with Mini Carrot Pot Pie. 2nd place went to Hazel Vessey with Parmesan Carrot and Zucchini Fries with Sweet Chili Mayo Dip. 3rd place went to Beau Williams with Marmalade Candied Carrots. And the Main Dish Category; First place went to Benjamin Cano with Carrot Pizza with Roasted Carrots. Dillon Anzures picked up 2nd place with Rabbit Bait Carrot Soup. Tonight will be the Adult Chef’s competing in 3 categories; Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert. The contests are held at the Holtville Civic Center.
