Brawley is looking for a new Chief of Police.

Brawley Chief Robert Sawyer has resigned to accept the position of Deputy Chief of Police with the City of El Centro. Sawyer , who served with the El Centro Police Department prior to accepting the Brawley position , is expected to begin his new job after action by the El Centro City Council. Brawley has begun a search for a new chief and in the interim Imperial County Chief Deputy Scott Sheppeard will lead the department. Brawley City Manager Rosanna Bayon Moore said , " The City would like to thank Chief Robert Sawyer for the last year and a half at the helm of the Brawley Police Department. We wish him great success in his future endeavors."
