(Brown Bag Coalition awarded two grants)….The Coalition works with the homeless in Calexico.
They provide food and other amenities for the homeless population in the Border City. They recently received a $20,000 grant from the Imperial Irrigation District and a $1,000 grant from Planned Parenthood. The funds will go towards the Coalition’s goal of buying a mobile trailer to provide showers for the homeless during the summer months. With the grants, they will still be $3,000 short of their goal.
